Keep Your Cooker Running This Christmas

Christmas is a time in which we rely heavily on our cooker or oven as we attempt to cook Christmas dinner. The ways we have or haven’t cared for our oven over the years will have a significant impact on how well it works over the festive period.

2 Ways to Keep Your Oven in Tip-top Condition this Christmas

  • Clean it!

Every time you use your oven or hob, dirt builds up. Dirt can be due to food spills, grease spitting out or pans overflowing. While this may seem minimal at first, it builds up over time and can hinder your appliance’s performance. This is one thing you don’t want during the festive period when you need to use it the most!

To keep your appliance working at its full potential, you want to make sure it is cleaned before Christmas. And also, there really is no excuse for having a dirty cooker.

  • Repair it!

As with all appliances, cookers and ovens are susceptible to faults. One of the most common issues is overheating. When your oven overheats, it is likely that there is a problem with the thermostat and this can be easily fixed and replaced by you.

For any cooker faults that you’re unsure about, please give us a call and we will help. We want to ensure that your cooker or oven is working properly over the Christmas holidays.

If you take the time now to clean and/ or repair your cooker then you can ensure that the festive period is a stress-free time (at least cooking wise!).
